ADAPTOMODE® Outlet Pressure Regulators
These compact, heavy duty, pilot operated, Outlet Pressure regulators are suitable for Ammonia, R-12, R-22, R-502 and other common refrigerants and fluids approved for use in refrigerant valves.
All A4 Regulators are pilot operated using upstream pressure for the opening force and requires a minimum 0.14 bar (2 psig) pressure drop to fully open.
These valves are generally ordered with close coupled strainer to prevent entrance of foreign material into the valve and the rest of the system. (See current Bulletin DN00-10 for strainer information).
The fluid temperature range for the A4 Series of Regulators is -45°C to 105°C (-50°F to 220°F).

Refrigerant Float Switch - Product Bulletin 61-11B
The LLSS refrigerant fl oat switch provides an electrical switching action in response to change in the refrigerant level. Flooded surge drums, fl ooded shell and tube chillers, high and low pressure receivers, intercoolers, transfer vessels and various kinds of accumulators are just some of the locations LLSS fl oat switches are used to control and monitor liquid levels. The LLSS's most benefi cial features are its stainless steel construction, which allows it to withstand corrosive environments and its overall light weight minimizes installation costs.

Refrigerant Float Switch - Data Sheet
The LLSS Float Switch is designed for monitoring and managing refrigerant levels in flooded surge drums, flooded shell and tube chillers, high and low pressure receivers, intercoolers, transfer vessels and various types of accumulators. The unique design of the new and improved LLSS Float Switch allows it to withstand corrosive environments associated with many industrial refrigeration conditions.

Solenoid Valve - Type S5A, S5AE
This heavy duty solenoid valve is suitable for Ammonia, R-12, R-22, and R-502, other refrigerants, certain oils and other fl uids approved for use in refrigeration. The S5A is a pilot operated semi-steel bod ied valve. The valve may be opened by means of the manual open ing stem for servicing or in case of electrical power failure.
The Type S5A Solenoid Valve is furnished with FPT: Internal NPT (U.S. Standard Taper Pipe Thread), Socket Weld, Weld Neck or ODS (solders over copper tubing of given diameter) connections. The valve may be easily removed from between the fl anges for servicing.
It is advisable to install a strainer upstream of each valve to prevent entrance of foreign material into the valves and the rest of the sys tem. Refrigerating Specialties strainers are available to close-couple to valve inlets.

Solenoid Valve - Type S7A, S7AL
This heavy duty solenoid valve is suitable for Ammonia, R-134a, R-22, and R-507, other refrigerants, certain oils and other fluids approved for use in refrigeration. The S7 is a pilot operated, positive lift, cast iron bodied valve. The valve may be opened by means of the manual opening stem for servicing or in case of electrical power failure.
The Type S7 Solenoid Valve is furnished with FPT Internal NPT (U.S. Standard Taper Pipe Thread), Socket Weld, Weld Neck or ODS (solders over copper tubing of given diameter) connections. The valve may be easily removed from between the flanges for servicing.
It is advisable to install a strainer upstream of each valve to prevent entrance of foreign material into the valves and the rest of the system. Refrigerating Specialties strainers are available to close-couple to valve inlets.

Solenoid Valve - Type S8F
This compact, heavy duty, pilot-operated, plated ductile iron bodied solenoid valve is suitable for Ammonia, R-12, R-22, R-502 and other common refrigerants for liquid, suction and hot gas lines, and refrigerant oil lines. The plunger-needle assembly is also used with most other Refrigerating Specialties Industrial Solenoid Valves. This valve is usually ordered with a close-coupled stainless steel screen strainer. (See current Bulletin 00-10 for strainer information.)

FPT Flange Connections
The R/S Type A valve is an externally adjustable valve with a gray cast iron body and either FPT or socket weld flange connections. The thermostatic element is replaceable. An optional 8004 (1/2” FPT) or 8006 (3/4” FPT) strainer may be ordered with this valve.
The nominal 20 and 30 ton Type A valves are identical with the exception of their discharge tubes. One of these valves can be converted to the other by exchanging their discharge tubes. The nominal 75 and 100 ton Type A valves do not employ a discharge tube, nor are their outlets tapped to receive one.
Refrigerant distributors that will mate directly to this valve are listed below. Note: The discharge tube must be removed from the nominal 20, 30, and 50 ton Type A valves when a refrigerant distributor is applied.
